Previous owner's (small & very neat!) name & address label to front endpaper. © 1973: 1st in the 'Rama' series of books. Condition: Very Good: Light signs of wear.

Attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory. This would be in Near Fine condition were it not for the tape on the cover boards. Edges of the text block only have one dot of age tanning to the top edge - about the size of a sesame seed and a couple dots to the bottom edge, very faint and tiny. Impression mark of an erased former price on the top corner of the first flyleaf page, but no former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages besides that. Light gray colored cover boards are flat, no wear to the corners or edges. The protective cover had been taped to the cover boards with thin pieces of masking tape, which are still present on the cover boards, both back and front. The dust jacket is intact and has been protected with a clear cover. Dated on the copyright page as 1973, but from the gutter code on page 213, 'R18', this copy was printed in May, 1975. Scientists from the 'Endeavour' are sent to explore an object that has entered the Solar System, the enigmatic, alien object that becomes known as 'Rama'. Campbell awards as well as several other awards. Classic, winner of the Hugo, Nebula, Locus, John W. Hardcover with dust jacket, published by Doubleday, 1973.
